This premium heritage woven blanket honors the Codd family crest against the Irish National Tartan.

The Codd Name in Ireland

The name came with the Anglo-Norman settlement of the thirteenth century and rooted itself in the baronies of Forth and Bargy, the corner of south Wexford where the settler families stayed so put that they kept a dialect of their own, Yola, into the nineteenth century. Codd belongs to that company — a name of farmers and townsmen written through seven centuries of Wexford records, and still thickest exactly where it began.

How the Codd Blanket Is Made

The design is in the cloth's bones. Crest and tartan are woven in 100% premium cotton yarn, not printed on, and finished with traditional fringed edges.

Product Details

Material: 100% premium cotton yarn

Construction: woven, not printed

Available sizes: 52 × 37 inches, 60 × 50 inches, and 80 × 60 inches

Finish: traditional fringed edges

Care: machine wash cold on a gentle cycle; tumble dry low

As settled as south Wexford.

More for the Codd Family

You will find the Codd family crest on mugs, apparel, ornaments, and wall décor across the Celtic Ancestry Gifts range.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0986/4809/7089/files/codd-irish-woven-blanket-forth-wexford-family-crest-throw_1.jpg?v=1793360550
